Hey there!

Soooo… I’m sorry it took me a fat minute to type out a blog. I have some people holding me accountable to make sure I post more.

Training camp was such a great experience for me. I learned a lot during it. I have grown in my faith so much and have built a deeper relationship with God. He is so cool! Training camp was a really sweet time to get to know my squad mates more as well and I’m so thankful. My favorite part of training camp would most definitely have to be team time. Ahh!! I love my team so much!! Team time is when our squad splits up after dinner and go into our teams. My team has 4 other girls plus our team leader. I will do a blog soon introducing you all to them. Something else I loved at Gainesville was going on my nightly walk with God while watching the stars. I absolutely loved those moments with God. Gainesville, Georgia will forever have a special place in my heart.

Okay next thing… October 16-October 30 my squad went to Louisiana to help with hurricane relief by partnering with Samaritan’s Purse (SP). We fixed leaky roofs, knocked out walls that had mold, took out insulation, and more. I learned how to use the oscillating tool and that was fun. I really enjoyed the people on my SP team because I got to talk to people on my squad that I hadn’t talked to as much during training camp and I am so thankful for that! I also got the opportunity to go to New Orleans a couple times which was like a 15 minute drive from where we were staying. I tried beignets and gumbo for the first time in New Orleans and that was a big highlight for sure! I loved walking around looking at all the paintings and buildings. I also loved listening to the live jazz music on the streets.

Now I am in Jaco, Costa Rica which is SO crazyyy! We arrived late on November 5. We are staying at a place called Oceans Edge Missions Lifestyle Training and they have been so good to us! We started ministry on Tuesday doing homeless service. We played sports, did worship, and just talked and hung out with the homeless people. God is working and He never stops and that has been something really cool to see.
