Hello!

Today I am going to be introducing you all to my team! Back in August, Gap I (Gap I is what my squad is called) leadership took time to think and pray about choosing who would be on what team. When we were told who our teams were, I was a little nervous because I really didn’t know any of them and didn’t talk to them at our Boot Camp back in June. That being said, I was super excited to know more people on the squad.

Alrighty here is Team Rooted!!

Aren’t they so beautiful?!

The reason we chose the team name rooted is because we want to be rooted in the Kingdom of God.

Okay so now I will put a name to these lovely faces. In the back from left to right… that’s me haha and then next to me is Libby.

Libby (or Bibby or Bibs or Libs)– Love this girl. Literal definition of joyful. She has the sweetest smile and is patient. She is so positive and always encourages us to look on the bright side of things. When we were all having a hard time with a certain situation, she reminded us that things don’t have to be a setback, but an opportunity to grow and that is something that I will remember forever.

In the front from left to right is Kayla, Cammie, Avery, and Lucy.

Kayla (or World Race mom)– Our amazing team leader. Ahh! I love her. She did the race last year and came back to team lead. I couldn’t ask for a better team leader. She is a great listener and is so understanding. She gives great advice and helps me process my thoughts. She always encourages me to take everything to the Lord and it has been so good! She has helped me learn to rely on God. Kayla leaves December 8 because team leaders only stay with us for 3 months. I am going to miss her sooo much, but am so proud of her and her obedience to God. I look up to her a lot and am so thankful for her.

Cammie (or Cam Cam)– This girl is my theater nerd buddy. We will talk about any musical and will sing all the songs together. Her voice is absolutely amazinggg!! She loves others so stinking well. She is so bubbly and cheerful. I love every conversation we have and how interruptible she is. I love you Cam Cam!

Avery (or Aves)– I stinking love Aves so much. She has such a servants heart and it is so cool. She is caring, calm, and sweet and is always willing to do whatever is needed. She is such a hard worker. Her laugh is my favorite thing everrr and I love talking to her especially during our walks.

Lucy (or Lu or Luce)– “Yeah, I love her, yeah” (if you know you know, haha). Lucy is an absolute goofball. There has never been a day where she doesn’t make me smile or laugh. She is also so wise and I love hearing what she has to say. She is a great thinker and is always ready to learn and grow.

So like I said in my previous blog… team time is when our squad splits up after dinner and goes into our teams. We do debriefs from the past week, Bible studies, and to just talk about anything. It is such a safe space. I am learning a lot, especially how to be vulnerable.

I love love LOVE these girls to the moon and back. They bring me so much joy and giggles every day. I am so proud of them and can really see how much Jesus is working inside of them. So much growth has happened in each and every one of them from day 1 of Training Camp to now. I am so excited to see the continued growth and blooming that God is doing. He is so cool!

Thank you for reading!! πŸ™‚
