Hey everyone! 🙂
My name is Ally and I am from Lake City, Michigan. I am a senior in high school, and am super duper excited for this next chapter in my life with World Race through Adventures in Missions! I literally cannot wait!
So I should probably type out some stuff about me because the title of this blog post is literally named About Me, haha. For my whole life I have been going to church and learning about God and all that he has done for us, but I never really understood how important it was to have a relationship with God and make my faith my own until my junior year. I go to a private Christian school and last year my bible teacher really challenged my class to make our faith our own. I was really moved by this and I knew I wanted to do something about growing closer in my relationship with Christ and growing in my faith, I just didn’t know what to do about it. I for sure started to pray so much more and I absolutely love having chats with God. Now I get the amazing opportunity to serve him for 9 months and I am excited to see what God has in store for this journey!
Here are some more facts about me. I am 17 years old and turn 18 in January. I love to play sports, especially basketball and soccer. Jelly-filled donuts are sooo stinkin’ good, and I love sloths… I don’t know why, they just make me smile. I have 3 siblings: an older brother and 2 little sisters, I love my parents and don’t know what I would do without their support, encouragement, and love. We have the most fluffy and poofy cat ever named Harvey. I love listening to the Broadway soundtracks of Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and Newsies all thanks to my brother (hey Drew!). I also just love listening to music in general and jamming to some tunes in the family mini van.
I am excited to share my journey on here and would be grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support! With your help, we have the opportunity to make an impact on God’s kingdom!
